What blogs do you read?

This is a little unusual sort of post, but worthwhile all the same.  The question I ask is, what blogs do you read?  It’s well known that many bloggers read many different blogs for many different reasons.  I’m no different to the masses, I read plenty.  Today it’s my intention to share with you some of the blogs I read on at least a regular basis.  It serves two purposes,

  • Raise publicity for other blogs
  • Allow me to thank other bloggers for their great work

So here is my list.  Each of these blogs I have started reading regularly because they feature excellent information which I find useful.

Keyword Research Blog – is a fantastic blog, written by Alex Whalley.  Alex focuses on search engine optimisation, and has written many articles of use to anyone wanting to blog or create a website seriously.

5k Mission – tracks the experiences of Jillian as she works towards achieving the internet living dream.

Brandon Connell – writes about making money online.  Brandon features many articles covering marketing and advertising your website, as well as methods to generate income.

Website Begin – is a blog written by Joe Boyle teaching you how to start up websites and blogs from scratch.

Tech n Share – is a multi-author blog featuring articles on marketing, blogging, seo and wordpress.

Rob’s Web Tips – is a straight talking blog on making money online as well as providing some seriously good tips on blogging.  I have taken Rob’s eCourse, check out my review of the Ultimate Blogging eCourse.

Ice Blue Banana – is brought to you by Mark who writes about productivity, and managing your goals and aspirations in life.

Steve Scott – writes about lifestyle design, internet marketing and personal growth.

Ms. Ileane – is a blog with a wealth of tips to running a successful blog, including video and written tutorials.

Tech n Blogging – is brought to you by Sourav, who writes about blogging and technology

Darren L Carter – writes an inspiration blog on how he is working towards living the internet life

I also read blogs by some well known people in blogging like, Yaro Starak, Darren Rowse, Johnny B Truant and JP Aguiar.

These are some of the blogs I’ve been reading the longest.  I have started reading many more, and will feature them in a later post with a full list.

What blogs do you read?  What attracts you to them, and makes you want to come back?

  • Nice list. I only have a couple that I read all the time. I personally like to see what other people recommend through Twitter. I have done the subscribe to 100′s (literally) of blogs, but I found I was too busy ready to create blog content.

I really like what Rob is doing on RobsWebTips and there are few others that I plan on checking out now.

    • Hey Tom,
Thanks for the feedback. I use twitter and blog engage to find other blogs and content, rather than using google to search.
I’ve probably checked out at least 100 blogs, but as you say, too much reading leaves no time for creativity on your own blog.

  • What blogs do you read?…

There are tons of blogs on the internet, but which ones do you read? Why do you read them?…

  • First of all, thanks for including my blog in the list. :)
I am already familiar with some of the blogs in this list, I will have to read the others.
Blogs about social media, blogging and technology are the ones which get the most attention from me.I am an absolute fan of two blogs, namely Famous Bloggers(Hesham) and Kikolani(Kristi Hines). I like FB because because of the different writing styles of so many authors.
Even though I haven’t commented on Kikolani, but I admire the blog “silently”. Kristi is also one of the authors of Famous Bloggers, and she writes about social media.

    • Cheers for your comment Sourav! Some of the blogs are relatively well known. I hope this spreads the name of some others

  • Mark, thanks for the tips… going to check a few of these out. The 5k blog sounds really interesting.

    • Hi Daniel,
I’m glad you have found use from these. I want to share many great blogs in future too. I agree with what you say about 5kmission. It’s not often you see a blog charting the efforts needed from day one to make it big.
