25 Comments Who is Mark Bell – 10 random facts
Personal posts are always one of the top tips that float amongst the many blogs that I read. If you want stickier posts, and you want to engage with your readers on a deeper level, you need to inject personality. By showing a little of your personality, people can connect with you.
It’s no wonder that an “about me” page is highly recommended, and more than likely one of your most popular pages – it’s my third most popular page!
There are many different ways to write your “about” page. Generally it will include information on who you are, what you stand for, why you are here and what you offer. You may even include what your presence has in store for you as well as your reader.
Anyway, a popular type of post to inject more personality and add something different is a post containing some random facts about you that are not in your “about” page.
Here are 10 facts you maybe otherwise didn’t know about Mark Bell – the author of Bloggers Journal.
- My favourite animal is the shark – the great white to be exact – it’s a very misunderstood creature

So now you know 10 random things about me, why not share 10 random things about yourself below? Heck, ask a question of me, I may do another list of 10 more random things in answer to them!

Hi Mark,
Thanks for sharing more about yourself. Sounds like you would have excelled in some of my college meteorology courses
My most popular blog post is My Story. People seem to appreciate someone who’s willing to share details about their life in a free manner.

Hey Ryan,
I always preferred the physical side of geography over the human aspect – meteorology would have been right up my street!
I’ll have to check out your story. I’m with you on the sharing thing – it’s easier to engage with a person than a gravatar – even a single picture is easier to engage with than nothing at all.
Hi Mark,
This is a different way of engaging with your audience. One or two bloggers, have tried this. I’ve thought about it previously. When you begin building a good relationship with people there’s a good time to start mentioning about your other interests.
