Niche – What’s yours?

Choosing a niche is one of the joys of starting up any profitable internet venture.  I have written on discovering your niche, and how obvious it is.  For instance, my niche site is a Couple’s Guide to Disney.  What makes it different is that I (with my fiancee’s help!) want to provide help, a guide, and tips on holidaying in Disney based on first hand experience.

When I started out, I wasn’t sure what a niche really was.  To me, a niche was something new and novel and not done before.  But can this really be done?  There are literally millions of websites, and chances are that you will be reinventing the wheel.  Here is what I learned. Read more »

Commenting – The power of useful feedback

Social networking has taken off in a massive way in recent years.  It is easier than ever to communicate with anyone in the world.  It used to be that websites were quite boring pages of just information, and if you wanted to talk to people, you used chat rooms or email.  With the development of various web technologies, and their ease of use, more often nowadays, readers can interact with the authors of their websites via commenting.

When you are starting out a new venture, blogging about your passion, say for example, about holidaying in Disney ;) , you want to try and get as many visitors as you can to your site.  You will read a million times over, on this site included, that commenting on other blogs is a great method of marketing.
